I've spent hours just exploring your lessons and information. I wish I could sit in your class and observe the work that you do. I am currently teaching American and World History (from the ancient time period to the Renaissance) at Ransom Everglades Middle School in Miami, Florida. I have just begun my eighth year teaching. Thank you for sharing your creative work. I will put it to good use!

I wanted to tell you, your website is absolutely wonderful! I am an instructional specialist in an elementary school and we are constantly looking for good social studies lessons that are child - centered and integrated whenever possible. I have found lessons and activities on your site that cover almost all of our state mandates! Super resource! Thanks,
Christina Cassity; Slack Elementary; Lufkin, TX

Just a quick note to thank you for your great history website. It is an incredible help to me. I homeschool two children (6th and 8th grade), and we love to explore various cultures and time periods. Your materials are practical and realistic and help the kids understand how people actually lived and what kinds of situations they faced. I know it must have taken you a huge amount of work to put the site together and to include so many additional links. I really appreciate your effort and your generosity in sharing the information with people like us. Thanks again!

  From Parents

Dear "Mr Donn"
Just found your website on Ancient China - especially love the "cheats" section. It's just what my 13 year old needs to answer lots of general questions in his HUGE assignment. There is so much info on the web and I find my kids get overwhelmed with the indepth adult stuff. So THANK YOU. The links were fantastic too, and I personally loved the comparison between Taoism and Pooh. Very true.

No need to reply. People don't take enough time today to say the good things.

Certainly, there is no better place to look for anything you need

This site is obviously a labor of love.

Here's our write up in the BBC Educational Web Guide!
(We loved it!)

"This is an excellent resource for students and teachers of ancient history.
The site covers the civilisations of
Ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China and others.
Amongst a wealth of information there are lesson plans,
links to related sites and to more history sites by the same author.
Though a little Americanised, this site has a lot of educational value
if you are prepared to adapt it to your curriculum needs
(and if you can ignore the jovial Americanisms!)."

  The British Broadcasting Corporation

"The best learning resources on the Net are only a click away!"

"For a Teacher Who Made A Difference" from the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe
This was especially wonderful
as Don was one of the first teachers ever to receive this award.

We were delighted to be selected as a recommended site,

or as site of the week or month by the fine sites above.

To all those who have honored us,
THANK YOU!
